The New Testament teaches that the local church is the body of Jesus Christ and He is the head of this body; thus, we believe our primary purpose as a church of the Lord Jesus Christ is to glorify Him who is our Head, especially since He is the savior of the body (Ephesians 5:23). By doing this we will also glorify God the Father (Ephesians 3:21). We strive to do this multiple ways:
- We meet together twice a week to worship Jesus Christ through singing praise, prayer, and preaching His word.
- We strive individually and as families to read and study God’s word so as to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. We try to equip men to lead their homes, bring up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and honor God in the community.
- We strive individually and as families to live holily and soberly in this present world, so as to bear witness to God’s grace in our lives.
- We strive to bear one another’s burdens and help others as God gives us opportunity.
We are devoted to proclaiming, upholding, and spreading the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. We pray you will come and see.
Genesis 35:7 (KJV)
